KELLY Consulting Engineers was established in 2022, and are based in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The company's inception was driven by a response to the growing demand for expert engineering services to support both government and private sector projects in a wide array of infrastructure fields. These services encompass design, project management, contract administration, project verification and certification, as well as claims management.

The founder of the company, (Director and Principal Consultant), Shane Kelly, has a wealth of experience in the industry, having previously served as an employee in several industry leading engineering consultancies. Shane has undertaken key roles in design, construction phase design services, design verification and construction verification. This extensive experience has been gained on several large highway and infrastructure projects for TfNSW and VicRoads. Currently, Shane is undertaking a key role as Technical Manager for Transport for NSW on a multibillion dollar project.

KELLY Consulting Engineers maintains current Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and Workers Compensation insurances. Certificates of currency available on request. We are also approved on BuyNSW Prequalification Scheme SCM0005.

Our Team

Shane Kelly is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 17 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. He has worked on major infrastructure projects such as the Coffs Harbour Bypass and West Gate Tunnel, with expertise in project management, design review, and independent certification. Shane holds a First Class Honours degree from University College Cork and a Masters from Imperial College London, and now leads KELLY Consulting Engineers, delivering expert engineering solutions across government and private sectors.

With almost 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Dee is a highly skilled building designer known for creating practical and innovative designs. Dee has worked on a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial buildings, and industrial sites. Dee combines technical knowledge with a strong sense of design, making sure each project is functional, sustainable, and meets client needs. Her understanding of construction, materials, and regulations helps deliver cost-effective solutions. Working closely with engineers, architects, and contractors, Dee ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish.
